About
I’m a creative professional with 15 years of experience designing and managing creative teams in Graphic & Interaction Design focused in Marketing and Advertising Technology.
I’ve managed creative teams in domestic and global markets for clients such as Disney, Hulu, Toyota, P&G, FCA, Intel, Nvidia and more. As a dedicated and independent thinker, I’ve contributed to the growth and success of startups seeking IPOs from the perspective of a Graphic Designer creating interactive ads to pitching digital media strategy as Director of Creative Solutions.
I have two specific skills I credit to my success:
Empathy - Effective collaboration begins with finding commonality. By using empathy I’m able to communicate efficiently through visual design to my targeted audience or explain creative concepts to non-creative people. It also allows me to see through alternative user behavioral perspectives when designing a user interface and reducing unintended friction. I think this is also the key to managing creative teams by understanding individual motivations to produce their best quality work.
Foresight - Long-term problems can often be avoided through careful planning with policies and procedures. Proper documentation for creative operations and technical specs are the best way to communicate with the future. I enjoy the game of strategy involved when developing workflow models for production and international demand. I prefer to solve problems before they become expensive.
My Objective: To seek beauty in all things and foster imaginative culture.
No Crowns?
As a personal philosophy, “No Crowns” is the idea that the development of design & human experience should not be limited by hierarchy of ego. Self edification creates an imbalance between complacency and curiosity in one’s craft. The guiding principle of “No Crowns” is about never being satisfied; to be thirsty for more knowledge in the pursuit of growth in design, art and life.
